OPENS FOR LOS LONELY BOYS AND HANSON

(New York, NY) - Singer/songwriter Dave Barnes' is set to open for Los Lonely Boys in September and Hanson on their upcoming fall tour in October. Barnes continues to tour in support of his Razor & Tie debut release, ME AND YOU AND THE WORLD, which debuted at # 94 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, bypassing the Heatseekers chart for new artists. The album spent weeks in the Top 50 of the iTunes album chart, peaking at #3, ahead of such luminaries as Madonna, Moby, and Counting Crows. Road dog Barnes has already toured with One Republic, Taylor Swift and Bonnie Raitt this summer (new tour dates below).

Dave Barnes' first single, "Until You," was selected for USA Today's weekly playlist and the paper raved: "Hard to go wrong with a song...(like this)". Other standout songs from the album include the ballad "On a Night Like This," the Motown inspired "Someday" and the roof-raising gospel number "Carry Me Through."

Known for his original sense of humor, Barnes has had over 500,000 YouTube views of his comedy videos and recently performed a sold-out comedy show in his hometown Nashville. His witty banter in both his live music and comedy shows has earned him press accolades.
