ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK FOR ANOTHER CINDERELLA STORY
LAUNCHES STARS' MUSIC CAREER
(New York, NY) - Triple threat star Selena Gomez' single, "Tell Me Something I Don't Know," is the #1 most played song at Radio Disney and has already sold over 100,000 digital tracks. The lead single from the Razor & Tie Entertainment original motion picture soundtrack ANOTHER CINDERELLA STORY is the #3 most played video on AOL Music, #14 on Music Choice's video on demand channel and has over 2 million video plays on YouTube. Selena Gomez recently appeared on NBC's The Today Show as well as ABC's The View to promote the film and soundtrack. Last week Variety proclaimed Selena Gomez "is already well on her way to becoming Disney Channel's Next Big Thing."
The soundtrack album includes 11 brand new pop and hip-hop-infused songs as performed by teen sensation Selena Gomez, recording artist Drew Seeley, and the cast of the Warner Premiere home video release, Another Cinderella Story (released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 16th). Another Cinderella Story was the #1 rental on iTunes for over two weeks, currently at #6. Drew Seeley's single, "New Classic," has also been well received and he recently performed on FOX's The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet, New York's CW 11 Morning News, and Fox's Good Day New York. The video for the song debuted last week on AOL.
A high-energy, comedic twist on the classic Cinderella story, Another Cinderella Story tells the tale of a downtrodden girl, Mary (Selena Gomez), who seeks the love of charming prince, Joey Parker (Drew Seeley), a popular singer who has enrolled at Beverly Hills High School, against the wishes of her evil legal guardian (Jane Lynch).
Poised to take over the pop throne, Selena Gomez currently stars on the Disney Channel's wildly popular series Wizards of Waverly Place. Only 16 years old, she was discovered at age 12 in a Disney talent search. Gomez has starred opposite Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana and has guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. She has been performing since she was a child, beginning her career on Barney & Friends.
Best known for his starring role in the High School Musical concert tour, Drew Seeley has also been featured on various albums including, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, DISNEYMANIA 4, THE CHEETAH GIRLS 2, JUMP IN! and RADIO DISNEY JAMS 9. Seeley co-wrote the song, "Get'cha Head in the Game," which helped propel the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL soundtrack to sell over 4 million copies and receive a nomination for an Emmy Award.
The soundtrack also features fresh tween stars poised for success, Lil' JJ and Tiffany Giardina. Lil' JJ currently stars on the Nickelodeon show Just Jordan; he was previously on All That and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Lil' JJ won BET's comedy talent search Comin' to the Stage and has been featured in music videos by Sean Kingston and Nelly. Tiffany Giardina contributed two songs and music videos for "Hurry Up and Save Me" and "No Average Angel." At only 14 years old she has already toured with Disney's Jump 5 and has performed with Patti Labelle.
