DEBUTS AT #1 ON BILLBOARD BROADWAY CHART,
#63 ON BILLBOARD TOP 200 CHART

HIGHEST CHART DEBUT IN GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS HISTORY

New York, NY (7/1/2009) - The new Broadway Cast Recording of the hit musical HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, featuring never-before-released tracks from the show's iconic score, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Broadway Chart and at #63 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart (unusually high for a cast recording). The Ghostlight Records recording, featuring the production's 37-member cast and all-star band, was released in stores on Tuesday, June 23rd. Following its May 26th digital release, the album quickly became iTunes top selling "soundtrack." The album was recorded on Monday, April 6th at New York City's Legacy Studios and is produced by Kurt Deutsch and Joel Moss with Bill Rosenfield acting as Executive Producer.

One of the most iconic of Broadway scores, HAIR features more modern "hit" songs than any show in history: "Aquarius," "Let The Sun Shine In," "Easy To Be Hard," "Good Morning Starshine," and the title song became chart-topping hits, Grammy winners, Gold or Platinum records, or all of the above. The original Broadway cast recording of HAIR remains one of greatest selling pop albums of all time and among the most beloved in music history.

The story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era, HAIR is a timeless portrait of a movement that changed the world. Its groundbreaking rock score paved the way for some of the greatest musicals of our time. Now, the "Age of Aquarius" dawns again in this jubilant new production, which won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. The Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle also recently honored the production with their 2009 award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. Directed by Diane Paulus and choreographed by Karole Armitage, HAIR features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot. HAIR began preview performances on March 6 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC) and opened to rave reviews on March 31, 2009.

WINNER OF GOSPEL DREAM MELINDA WATTS TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM, PEOPLE GET READY SET FOR RELEASE JULY 28TH

(New York, NY) - Melinda Watts, the season three winner of Gospel Music Channel's popular reality talent search series, Gospel Dream, will fulfill her life long dream as she is set to release her first album this summer. Signed with Razor & Tie Entertainment for a worldwide multi-album deal, Watt's debut album, PEOPLE GET READY, will be released nationwide on July 28th.

Born in New Jersey and hailing from Sacramento, CA, Watts began singing at the age of six. Her powerhouse vocals and warm bravado have captured the hearts of millions of fans, when she won the American Idol-esque show. Influenced by legends CeCe Winans, Natalie Grant and Shirley Caesar, Melinda shares a love of music and her church.

PEOPLE GET READY is a bright and dynamic album that showcases Watts' vibrant vocals along with strong contemporary production. The celebratory first single, "So Good," has already made waves at Gospel radio and is upbeat pop track that absolutely defies you to get up and dance.

Slick grooves, hopeful lyrics, and an exuberant vibe are interwoven throughout PEOPLE GET READY, which recalls other leading ladies of urban gospel like Mary Mary and Kierra Sheard. From the explosive, dance-friendly tracks of "Say Yes," and "Happy" to intimate worship songs like "Available To You," a duet with J. Moss, and wonderful rendition of "Faith," there is no doubt as to why Watts won over judges and audiences alike.

Watts will be set out on a promotional tour this summer in support of the release with stops in New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia. She's already been chosen to tape an upcoming episode BET's "LIFT EVERY VOICE," and will be a part of the Gospel Music Channel's Gospel Dream 2009 season set to start airing in June.

"I've always had a love of music and I have been singing in church my whole life," Watts explains. "God's grace brought me here. A lot of faith in God and remembering that it's okay to dream even when you feel you can't."

Watts, a former high school English teacher and active member of her Sacramento community, started the nonprofit organizations Project Sunday and Heaven's House to address the great need for mentoring and ministering to young women in her community.

Melinda Watts is managed by Mitchell Solarek of Maximum Artist Management.

EAST COAST RESIDENCY CONFIRMED FOR APRIL

(New York, NY) - Into The Presence's (ITP) self-titled debut album is set for release on April 28th 2009. The band, made up of drummer Tim Alexander and frontman/guitarist Luis Maldonado, fresh off multiple performances at this years' SXSW, will do a string of east coast dates including residencies in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Boston leading up to the album release.

With their self-titled debut album which was recorded in true analog (tape machines and vintage outboard gear), Into The Presence have created a sweeping musical journey that is stripped down in its instrumentation but grand in its sonic landscape. The end result is an instantly accessible yet deceptively complex, dynamic rock record that gives a nod to rock's past glories while creating a totally new and fresh statement.

Despite their vast musical expertise, Alexander and Maldonado fought to keep the music focused. "This was not going to be a progressive note fest," explains Tim. "We analyzed every note and got rid of anything that didn't improve the song. This was about the basics: the songs and making you feel something."

Alexander and Maldonado took part in various projects before collaborating on the upcoming release. Alexander performed with Primus, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, among other endeavors. Maldonado, a well known studio/session player was a child music prodigy who studied classical guitar in college at the age of 12. He has performed with a bevy of artists.. DATES WITH SLIPKNOT AND ON THIS SUMMER'S MAYHEM FESTIVAL

(New York, NY) - All That Remains (ATR) continue to knock down walls with their first top 10 single, "Two Weeks," at Active Rock radio and are the only band currently in the top 10 with their first track at this format. The band are confirmed to perform at the hard rock/metal music awards show, the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which will be broadcast on MTV2 as a one-hour special debuting Saturday, May 2nd. All That Remains continues to tour extensively, in April the band will head out for headlining dates, including the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. ATR will join Slipknot in May and will play rock festivals such as Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. They continue this summer on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival alongside Marilyn Manson, Slayer, and more.

In the words of the immortal Peter Griffin "HOLY FREAKING CRAP!" "Two Weeks" is in the TOP TEN at rock radio. That's something I never would have thought would happen for a band like us," the honest reaction from All That Remains frontman Phil Labonte. "We thank everyone who called their local rock stations and requested our song. It's amazing to be a part of this and have such supportive listeners."
Massachusetts hard rockers All That Remains' latest release OVERCOME debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in September and has already sold over 140,000 copies. First single "Two Weeks" has been a mainstay on the Active Rock radio charts for the past six months (click here request the song at radio) and the music video was just added to Fuse’s Rock Countdown and voted the #2 clip of 2008 by viewers of Headbangers Ball, receiving frequent play on MTV2. All That Remains has a surging online presence and their music has been included on both Rock Band and Guitar Hero 2 video games, resulting in over 100,000 additional individual track downloads. OVERCOME has received great reviews from the cover of Metal Edge magazine to the Alternative Press rave "New England's newest metal golden boys (and girl)...Phil Labonte's vocal prowess is almost unmatched...ATR stand out."

DEBUT ALBUM 'MAKE A MOVE' TO BE RELEASED ON MAY 12TH

(New York, NY) - Southern Rock / Contemporary Blues band, Hill Country Revue has signed with Razor & Tie Entertainment and will release their debut album, MAKE A MOVE, on May 12th. Formed last year by Cody Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars, Hill Country Revue is currently on a national tour (dates below) and will continue to tour North America through 2009.

"This is really back to the roots of blues," says Cody Dickinson of the upcoming record. "It's funky. Really nasty, that's the best way to describe it. Gritty, messy, stripped-down."

Hill Country Revue is a collective of musicians from the fertile soil of North Mississippi who have grown up living the music. The band is Cody Dickinson (Rhythm Guitar), Chris Chew (Bass), Kirk Smithhart (Lead Guitar), Dixie Dan Coburn (Vocals), and Ed "Hot" Cleveland (Drums). Hill Country Revue represents a return to the juke-joint one-chord trance blues of north Mississippi, styles made famous by local blues legends like R.L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. The majority of the material on MAKE A MOVE was written with one of Cody's oldest friends, Garry Burnside, the youngest of blues legend R.L. Burnside's fourteen children. By drawing from the traditional songs and modes of the Hill Country, the band stays true to its roots yet pushes the boundary by incorporating new songs and elements for the next generation.

As part of the North Mississippi Allstars, Dickinson and Chew have received three Grammy nominations and have shared the stage with artists as diverse as Kid Rock, Dave Matthews Band and Mavis Staples. Having toured all over the world steadily since 1996, they have earned a legion of fans.

Hill Country Revue is managed by Chris Tetzeli of Red Light Management and booked by Matt Hickey at High Road Touring.
